The big day!
So the hairstylists at the Garden City of India was ready & all set to innovate in hair and be certified hair expert & master the art of haircuts from Sean Taaffe in this exclusive workshop.
On February 9th, 2023, Bangalore had the pleasure of hosting Sean Taaffe, an international hairstyling legend, for a workshop hosted by IHB Academy. The event was held at the Fortune Park JP Celestial and had a total of 72 participants.

Event flow
Below is a detailed explanation of how the event proceeded & what happened throughout the seminar.
1. Lighting of the lamp by the invited dignitaries
The guest & other prominent hairstylists were invited to the stage to light up the lamp as a sign of culture & beginning of the seminar.
2. Introduction of Sean Taaffe
This man needs no introduction, but to double up the spirit of the audience & dream of what a hairdresser can achieve, Sean Taaffe was introduced and a little about his work & journey was shared.
3. Three Signature haircuts by Sean Taaffe
The event commenced with Sean Taaffe showing by performing live 3 different haircuts while explaining the process & sharing tips & techniques with the audience that was full of hairstylists.
This was a rare opportunity to learn from a master hairstylist who has worked with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry. The techniques shared were not just limited to the three haircuts, but can be applied to a wide range of hairstyles.
4. Lunch
Then was the time to take a break, have a lavish lunch & connect with other hairdressers in the city. Connection is always a good idea.
In addition to the learning experience, the workshop provided a great opportunity for hairstylists to network with their peers and share their experiences and knowledge. The participants were able to connect with other industry professionals, exchange ideas, and gain inspiration.
5. 4th signature haircut by Sean Taaffe
When Sean Taaffe is here, we just can't let go of the opportunity. Have to learn his signature haircut. After lunch, Sean not just performed but also taught the audience his signature haircut.
Apart from teaching these haircuts, Sean Taaffe also shared his knowledge and expertise on different hairstyling techniques & different tools that can help create different looks. He also shared tips on how to communicate effectively with your clients to ensure that you deliver the hairstyle they desire.
6. Introduction of Ravi Ravrani - Calyx Professional
Good hairstylists know, a good result is the mixture of good service by the hairstylist & good products used for the service. And Calyx Professional has proved this right for years. Calyx professional products have been used in salons for years for various hair services. Ravi Ravrani gave us some insight into the product, the service, & more.
7. Introduction of IHB & OMC

8. Model display of 5 Avant Garde creations by the IHB team

9. Grand finale
Ending the seminar in a grand way. The grand finale showcases the ramp walk of the models & the work of the students & all done throughout the seminar.

The workshop covered a wide range of topics, including basic hairstyling techniques, advanced cutting and styling methods, and creative hair coloring techniques. Participants were able to watch live demonstrations and practice the techniques they learned on mannequins provided at the workshop.
For the event, we had 72 exclusive guest participants attending the hair masterclass. It was a mixture of salon owners, budding hairstylists, professional hairdressers, etc.
